ARTICLE: Enable Create New Host in Leave Request

Students and/or parents can have the ability to add associated hosts directly through a new leave request creation when enabled in System Configurations > Leave General.   When enabled, the parent(s) can approve the host and the host information directly from the leave approval email without logging into a Reach account.

To enable for your system, navigate to System ConfigurationsLeave General

Once enabled, when a student and/or parent creates a new leave request, they will now have the option to select from the host drop down "Create New Host" to enter in new host details to create a new host association.

The student and/or parent would enter in the host information in the requested fields - the information collected will create the host in the Reach system.

When the parent gets the leave approval email, they can see the new host information that was added and approve or reject the addition of the host by approving or rejecting the leave request.  If they approve the leave, the host will remain in the Reach system as an associated host for future leave requests for that student so they can just select that host from the drop down menu instead of adding them as a new host each time.  If hosts are included in the leave actor approval workflow, then the newly created host will also receive an approval email for the submitted leave request.
