LimaxLock for BioPad Lockdown


LimaxLock app is a third part app that can be installed on your REACH BioPad devices that will allow you to run the devices in a locked down, dedicated kiosk mode where
  1. students cannot access any other functions on the BioPad devices
  2. the REACH BioPad app will install as the relaunch app in the case of a powerdown and/or other device interruption
  3. you can access through password protected access Limaxlock from the device, and
  4. you can disable the Limaxlock app on any device remotely from web login to the Limaxlock admin manager account

You will need to purchase a LimaxLock subscription for each device that you want to operate under the control of the LimaxLock lockdown ability. 
The Limaxlock app allows you to manage the subscribed devices remotely from the LimaxLock control centre.

 

Loading LimaxLock

  1. Go to Google Play app on the device and search for LimaxLock

  2. Install the app Kiosk Lockdown LimaxLock


Implementing LimaxLock

Login ID:   use registered subscription username
Password:  use registered subscription password


  1. Provide the relevant permissions for Limax Lock to access and control the back end of the device.  There is no need to set any of the Options.




  1. Set the permitted apps that can be accessed via LimaxLock (this is the state when single app Kiosk lockdown is not activated)
  2. Give your device a reference name

    LimaxLock will then lock down to the LimaxLock desktop with availability to the apps that you selected in (2).
  3. Select settings (initial PIN is 1234)

You can reset this code in the Profile settings of the Admin account (web portal)

  1. Enter Password  your password
  2. Note: If you select remember me at this stage the login password will be prepopulated when you get to this stage in the future and the PIN number will be the only security door to your settings.

    This will take you to the LimaxLock settings page






  1. Select Device Management > Exit Password if you want to change the PIN number of the device

  1. Select Single App Mode.  
    Switch Single App Mode on and Select REACH BioPad as the Single App.
    Save




The device will automatically switch to the Kiosk mode and lock down to the REACH BioPad app with no access to any screen menu items.


How to Exit LimaxLock

  1. On restart (from powerup or screen shutdown) you will see a blue EXIT icon bottom left of screen.  This is a temporary display that will disappear after about 10 seconds.
  2. From your desktop access you can turn LimaxLock off for any device in your fleet.  This will return you to the LimaxLock Admin settings and you can access the Device Settings from this screen.
