ARTICLE: How to Capture SISO Signatures

Authorising Signatures can be captured for departing and arriving students, if a signature is required from staff, parents or hosts.
System Configuration allows individual schools to control this setting to be active for all occasions or for individual Leave Types as required.

Signature Settings

Go To: System Configuration >> Signatures

Reach provides four options to manage signatures across your schools portal.

These Signature Configuration settings allow you to determine when a signature will be requested as part of your schools standard workflow.
These are simple settings however, please test to ensure the settings function in the manner you require.

SISO to Approved Leave
The yes option allows an override to capture signatures from all sign-out transactions.
The no option allows the signature to be requested for individual leave types.

SISO from Approved Leave
The yes option allows an override to capture signatures from all sign-in transactions.
The no option allows the signature to be requested for individual leave types.

Capture on Kiosk Accounts
Designed for stand-alone Kiosk terminals, the yes/no is a simple setting, once on, the kiosk will request a signature for all SISO transactions, regardless of location or leave types.

Capture on Staff Accounts
This option may be suited to front office staff or to supervisors in specific roles across campus.

Signatures for ALL SISO transactions

When the signature settings are set to 'Yes - Applies to all Leave', this pop-up box will appear requiring a signature and name selection to continue.
This signature capture process can be completed using an attached computer mouse, or a touch-pad can be installed and setup on the schools system.

In this example; the staff member Kim Barker is signing out Karina Cameron via the personal page of the Kiosk screen, a signature is required in the central empty space and the 'Please Identify' drop down menu provides first a list of the students associations, which may include parents and hosts, the second stage of the list includes all staff, Kim has been selected, then click the Done button.

Once the SISO transaction is complete, the data is historically recorded, and the signature can be viewed via the Leave Details screen for that leave item.

Signatures for INDIVIDUAL Leave Types

When the setting 'No - Set by Leave Type' is selected in System Configuration, the required Leave Types must then be set individually to capture signatures.

Go To: System Configuration >> Leave Types >> Select a Leave Type >> General Settings Tab >> Signatures

Signature settings can be updated at any time for each Leave Type.
New Leave Types can also be set with signatures on or off and updated as required,

Please Note:  Remember to test the signature settings are operating as required.
