ARTICLE: How To Add a New Host to Your Child's Account


Adding new hosts to your child's Reach account can be done via two simple methods; 
  1. My Account >> Add New Host  / available on Desktop & App
  2. Create Leave Request >> Create New Host   / available on Desktop & App

My Account - Desktop

As a parent, log into your Reach account, then click on your Name at the top right of the screen, and click on My Account


The account page will open to show a row of tabs across the top line.
Click on the Hosts Tab, the screen will update to show current data.
 - The display will indicate all hosts that are currently associated (connected within Reach) to your child.
Click on the New Host button, and the display changes.


Complete the contact details of your new host.
Check the details are correct and click on the Save Host button.
The system allows you to go through the process again, to add multiple hosts.
 - Repeat - Click New Host / Add Details / Save Host
Once you have added all the required hosts, click the Save button at the top, all done.

My Account - App

As a parent, open the Reach app on your device and login.
Tap on the More button in the bottom right corner.
Tap on the My Account button. 
Tap on the Hosts tab. 
 - The display will indicate all hosts that are currently associated (connected within Reach) to your child


Tap on Create Host
Complete the contact details of your new host. Eg, Add 'Winston Tucker' - connected to - Nicki Casey
Check the details are correct and tap on the Save Host button.
The screen will update to show the current hosts, including the host you just added. This host is now associated (connected within Reach) to your child.

Leave Requests - Desktop

As a parent, on your computer, open a web, open the Reach portal and log into your Reach account.
Within the Current Leave Requests section.
Click on the Create Leave Request button.



Select the required student / Select the Leave Type - these must be selected to access the host feature.



Then click on the Host dropdown menu and select Create New Host, a new tab page will open in Reach.
Complete the contact details of your new host and click Save New Host.
Reach will then search the database for a match to see if that host already exists to avoid duplicate profiles.
Once selected, your host can be used in the leave request you are creating.

Leave Requests - App

As a parent, open the Reach app on your device and login.
NOTE:  Using this method, you will need to create a new Leave Request.
If you do not wish do create leave, please use the previous method via My Account, as detailed in this document.

   Tap on the PLUS button in the bottom center of the screen.
   Tap on New Leave Request. 
   Tap on the student to add and tap Next.
   Continue to follow this process through each screen to add the leave details.
   When you arrive on the Select Host screen, tap on Create New Host.
   An additional section will appear below.
   Complete the details on each line and note that the Next button is still up the top.
   Continue through each screen.
   At the final screen, check all details.
   If all are complete, tap on the Finished button at the bottom.
   Reach will then check the system for host profile duplicates.
   The new host profile will save if their are no conflicting files.
   The leave request will save.
   Depending on the leave type, it may auto-approve.
   The new host has been added to the system.
