ARTICLE: Student - How to Add Hosts - App
The Reach app is designed for use as a transaction platform, it is freely available to use by all students with an active account. Access to the major transaction elements is provided, however it is not a complete replication of the Reach web portal.
NOTE: The function to create a new host - may not be active
- The ability to create a new host is managed by your school
- Your school may have specific questions and procedures for adding new hosts
- It is possible that your school does not have this ability enabled for students
Please contact your school first with any questions regarding the Reach platform.
How to Add Hosts
Using your access details, login to the Reach mobile app.
On the welcome screen, you can see a black PLUS button in the middle of the bottom screen.
Tap on the PLUS menu button to open the additional options screen.
Here you can see New Leave Request and New Message.
Tap on New Leave Request, within this function we can create new hosts.
The New Leave Request screen opens with a series of prompted screens as indicated by the active dots at the top of the screen.
To create a new host, we will need to create a new leave request
- if this leave request is not required, you cancel it after
- your new host will still be created and be active within the system
On each screen, select/input the required detail and tap the Next button to activate the following screen.
When you arrive at the Select Host screen, select Create New Host.
This will reveal the New Host Details section - you may need to scroll down to see it.
Using this details form, complete all the fields and click Next.
Continue through each page and then tap on Finished.
When this is saved, the new host will be created.
In future, this new host will be active and available to select when creating new leave.
An alternate method to creating a new host, is the use an existing Pending Leave Request.
- simply open the Pending item, tap Next to progress through the screens
- On the Select Host screen, follows the steps as detailed above
- Be sure to check all details before tapping on Finished to complete and save.
