ARTICLE: How to Access the App via Web Browser on Mobile Device
Apple App Store and Google Play Store
Visit the respective store listed below to access the Apple or Android version of the Reach App.
Search for Reach Student Life Management within the app store.
Access the App via a mobile Web Browser
Download issues may occur if your mobile device is using an older operating system.
You can still access the Reach Student Life mobile app, just via a web browser on your mobile device.
Access for iOS
- Launch Safari on your iPhone or iPad
- Navigate to material.reach.cloud
- Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up)
- Scroll down to Add to Home Screen and tap this item
- If you don't see the item, scroll to the Edit Actions item
- Then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen item
- It will then be available from the Share Sheet
- Name the link REACH
- This will be the name of the icon on your Home screen
- Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen
- The app is now available on your device
Access via Android
- Launch Chrome on your Android device
- Navigate to material.reach.cloud
- Tap the menu icon in the top right corner of the screen (the three vertical dots)
- Scroll down to Add to Home Screen, tap on this item
- Name the link REACH
- This will be the name of the icon on your Home screen
- Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen
- The app is now available on your device
App Permissions and Data
When you download the Reach mobile app you will be asked to allow various permissions:
- Allow Push Notifications
- Select YES
- Many Reach features utilize Push Notification for alerts, such as events / leave / communication
- You must Allow Push Notifications - to receive them.
- Allow Location Services
- First confirm that your school is using the GPS tracking feature within the app
- This is designed as a safety feature in the event of an emergency
- If your school IS using the feature - they will tell you - in this case - Select YES
- In this case, the schools Reach portal records the data, as is standard for all data within the app
- Data Use
- If the school is or is not using GPS
- The data is not used externally from that individual school
