ARTICLE: Pause Medication - Notes Recorded and Accessibility setting

The Medications module is still the most popular and important extension module within Reach, and within this document we cover those moments when students require their medication to be put on-hold due to holidays.  The medication schedule can be paused until a specified date, unpaused or expired as required quickly and easily.
Information regarding this please view the following ARTICLE: Pause and Unpause Dispensary Medication

Notes Recorded

To enhance the depth of historic data and record-keeping, the Pause function within scheduled medications now requires a Reason to activate the pause. This means that whenever a staff member is pausing a medication, the reason must be entered and that data will be saved, this submission will also create a pastoral record in the medical history within the student’s profile.

Accessibility setting

In addition to recording a reason when pausing, this function is now supported by a Reach security setting, available to be set per personal profile under the permissions tab / medical. Therefore schools can now control which users have permission to Pause / Unpause / Expire a prescribed medication.
