ARTICLE: Kiosk - Grouping and Templates

The Kiosk screen has received some new features as of February 2022, designed to improve filter abilities, this update enhances one of the most used screens within Reach by providing increased useability.

The Kiosk screen is used to sign in and sign out (SISO) students from various on and off campus locations, including signing them out to or returning from approved leave events.

Go To: Dashboards > Kiosk View

Grouping Filter

This filter adds another step to viewing a selected student group, in using the standard Reach filters across the top line, a group is filtered, then filter again by using the new Group By feature to further split the selection.

For example; If we use the entire student population, which is the default view when opening the Kiosk.

  1. The group-by selector allows you to split the group by room, name, house/dorm, year/grade or location.
    1. This can provide greater ease of viewing groups
  2. In the image, House is selected, this auto splits all students into their house groups
  3. Select another option to change how the group splits
  4. To reset, simply select no-grouping
Each item within a standard Reach filter menu is created and managed by your school.

Template Filter

The template filter provides an option to split the late students and present them at the top of the student filed for a quick view.

Now there is an added function with the On/Off-Campus filter. This can be used at any time while using the kiosk to quickly split the view and identify those who are off-campus, by pushing them to the top. View and manage students as required and to reset, simply select default to return to the normal view.
